Cultural Competencies for Healthcare

This course explores cultural competency and how interacting effectively with people from different cultures can bring benefit within healthcare.  We will explore awareness of one’s own cultural worldview, attitude towards cultural differences, knowledge of different cultural practices, and how to build cross-cultural skills.  Effectively training staff on cultural competency can result in better understanding, communication and effective interactions across multiple cultural backgrounds.
