This course will introduce you to the payment card security standards developed by the major card providers—VISA, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover.

 

This course will help you:

 

  1. Understand the PCI-DSS standards and how they apply to the responsibilities for handling in-person and ‘card not present’ card holder transactions.

  2. Become familiar with the security features of the payment cards and the subtle differences between major card brands.

  3. Follow the necessary steps to secure data, whether in electronic or written form, until it is properly transmitted or destroyed.

  4. Gain insight into the handling of stressful situations with a payment card that may not be legitimate.
